The Angel and the Vampire (Private, Akane and Kadaj ONLY)

It was a decent time of night and Zero was inside the tavern, feet up on the table where he was sitting.

"Freaking drunk idiot's"

Zero wasn't impressed by the amount of stupid idiotic people in the tavern he wanted to suck them all dry like a bottle of expensive wine he hated all these drunk people and hopped that soon someone with more brains would show up.

"Must this place be full of drunken, idiotic, foolish, stupid people with no bloody brains!"

Zero was sick of seeing all these idiots fighting and stepped in, he grabbed the first man and threw him over the bar into the shelves and crash takled the next mob of males throwing them about, slamming them through tables and chair, over bar's and into other people

"BAR! FIGHT!!"

Zero began throwing people around and saw some of the Kirigakure no Sato police force come in he used a special hidden technique to transport himself back to the chair he was in just recently and made it look like he never moved an inch.

"WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS GOING ON HERE!!"

Everything stopped as the guards walked in, everybody pointed over to Zero who was sitting quietly drinking.

"YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT THIS MAN HERE CAUSED ALL THIS TROUBLE.....WHAT A CROCK OF LIES THIS MAN IS PEACEFUL look at him drinking just doing nothing over you idiots having a bar fight it's FINISHED STOP IT ALL YOUR ALL UNDER ARRESSET

Zero let out a soft and quiet chuckle as every went back to drinking, people were unconcious on the floor, drink had been spilled all over the place, blood was pleantifull, broken chairs and shattered tables layed about the bar, Zero let off another chuckle as the police force approached him.

"Sir did you cause all this trouble, This is a police matter and you are required to tell us what happened here today since you are the only person who seems able to speak"

Zero sat quietly and began to speak.

"Do you know who I am...Sir....I am Zero Kiryu of the Kiryu Clan I started the fight to finish it so begone"

Zero was annoyed at how the police would ask him about the fight.

"The Kiryu Clan here inside Kirigakure...Leave this place...we do not welcome your vampire kind in Our city..."

Zero looked at the man and shifted his eyes about to drain the man of his life and chakra.

"Don't push me I am not In the mood I am waiting for someone now begone"

The guard saw that his eyes shifted and they backed away from him and turned around.

"Never cause trouble in here again Vampire Or we will kill you...Good day"

Zero let out a soft chuckle as they walked away and left the building, he was now waiting for his guest to arrive, the only one known, Akane Mitsukai.

It was a quiet, peaceful night as Akane approached Kirigakure no Sato - the village of her birth. Every two months she made a personal effort to stop by the village and visit her declining clan. Although they'd kicked her out the plan due to her deeds, her mother, grandmother and father still wished to see her. It was also to visit the many villagers she'd known during her childhood.

She was happy to see her family again, especially her one year old brother, Ryoko who would now be the heir of the Mitsukai clan. She didn't blame her family for kicking her out as she'd done terrible deeds during her time with Kiyoshi.

It was not too long after she stepped on the bridge did she stop. A strange chakra signal was located within the village and it wasn't human. She frowned and quickly increased her speed, eager to reach the village and find the source of the signal. There was a faint tinge of blood in the midnight air and this only caused her frown to deepen. Yes, the mist was known for their brutality but there was fear in the air too.

Once she entered the main village she found it to be unnaturally quiet. With hesitant steps forward she swiftly stepped over to a house and knocked on the front door. There was no answer. She left the door and knocked on the next few houses, finding them empty too. This caused panic to rise in her body. She could sense the people inside the houses but it seemed they were too scared to open the door. She'd have to find the reason why the villagers were so fearful.

When she came upon the fifth house she was relieved when an old-woman opened the door. "Akane?" the woman questioned in mild shock before hurriedly pulling the red-haired girl into her house. "I'm sure you can sense the mist has thickened Akane-chan. You couldn't have picked a worse time to visit," the old woman informed her.

This caused slight anger to rise in Akane's body, "What's happening? Who has invaded the village? Why hasn't the Mizukage done anything?"

"He can't," the old woman replied, "He is powerless against one of the Kiryu Clan. Yes, one named Zero has resided in the village for tonight and he is apparently looking for you Akane-chan- The old lady wasn't given time to finish her sentence as Akane flashed out the room.

She could clearly sense the chakra signal, it was in a nearby tavern. She'd quickly find what this Kiryu member, Zero, wanted from her so he could leave her village. The tavern was in sight and she slowed her pace before entering the bashed-up bar. A lone man sat to the side, he seemed to be waiting for her. He noticed her instantaneously.

"I'm here Vampire-san," she said and made her way to sit opposite him, "Now, what do want from me?"

"What do I want from you, what do I want from you...Blood line daughter of the famous Mitsukai family, what more could I want than to talk to a lovely lady such as yourself, I came to this village in search of a talk and a drink but was confronted by kirigakure police and drunken idiots"

Zero looked around to see drunken fools still laying on the floor passed out, he let out a soft chuckle.

"You...the great Akane Mitsukai coming to see me a lonely traveller, I'm nothing special...Angel-chan but your angelic blood seemed to be distracted...and yes...I'm still inside the city because the Mizukage is scared of a little vampire...I came to drink and talk nothing more nothing less but if you have any problems...then I'm sure we can make...a deal...You fight me I lose I never come back and if I win you come with me and we explore the lands, come back here every now and then to see your family, I will come in here and drink...if you have any more problems...then I guess it wont end up in a peaceful salution after my kind are hated in this city it's rather dull"

Zero let out a heavy sigh and ordered two drink, he slid one along to Akane and tried to start a conversation with her but he knew she wouldn't like anything about him due to he was a vampire and everyone knows the relationship between the Kiryu and Mitsukai clan in the past times but to be a kiryu from Oni no Kuni inside the kirigakure no sato walls was almost impossible.

"Haaaaa, I cant believe I come to drink and find you to ask for your forgiveness for what a previous clan member did to your family and I get confronted by drunks, police and threats...It's a shame that I just can't be left alone these days its always who killed who and why are you here, and what do you want people never intoduce themself these days and I thought manners would be normal for an Mitsukai being...an angel of course and yes I did come to appologies to you for a past disturbance in out clans it was...unnecessary, but yet most wont be forgiven, and I have NO idea why the people are scared, for instance I went up to a bunch of men to ask where the tavern was and they just scream little little schoool's and run away yelling its gonna eat me, like im going to eat some random civilian who doesn't even taste good I bet"

Zero took his feet off the table and took back the entire drink ordering two more and sliding another across to Akane.

"Look, I am terribly sorry for what my clan member did to ur's if I could I would have killed my clan member to stop it, but I wasn't there so I had no idea it was going on, I would have backed up your clan and try to make a peace between us but NOOOO, my clan member has to be a stupid fool and kill yours was a tragic, but I do hope we can move on from that Akane chan"

Zero sat scratching his head taking a sip from his glass taking out his sword and placing it next to him, he was sure she might notice the blade known as the Mithrodin she should know of its rare and aparently legendary name, he loved the sword, Zero took it off and places it next to him in clear view of her just to let her see it, he knew she would be able to beat him easy with juts a few jutsu but he wasn't afraid to drop dead where he stood but yet he saw something in her that he never use to see, He thought it was something old like a feeling of pervious meeting between them but he couldn't help but to notice that he had...feelings could it be towards this girl, he didn't know wether it was just his marks reaction towards her blood or was it that he loved her, he was confused to say the most, his brain was keeping him on a constant loop of caution but his feelings said hang loos and relax like she isnt a threat.

Zero began to relax and scratch the side of the sword drinking slowly.

Akane sighed and tilted her head to see the drunken men lying on the floor - passed out but apparently unharmed, "There are other ways to request a talk from me Vampire-san," she replied and frowned at the drunken men. Although she didn't agree with their drinking habits they were still Kiri villagers and she considered all of Kiri to be her family. She didn't take kindly to people harming the villagers of Kiri but she'd let it slide - just this once.

She smirked slightly at his comment about her 'greatness'. Yes, she was known to all as an S-Ranked Wanderer who could be potentially dangerous - she had killed the Mizukage after all and nearly ruined the entire Suna when she fought with her grandfather's killer. But she narrowed her eyes at the mention of his 'deal'. "You wish for me to become your companion Vampire-san?" her expression relaxed at this as she quickly checked the vampire up and down. He asked a lot of her, especially considering her past with vampires. Yet she wouldn't openly admit it - she was attracted to the Vampire. "I will consider your terms but why do you want me as your companion?"

She eyed the drink he slid to her and wearily took a sip after detecting no foreign substance in it. You could never be too careful around a vampire. She then listened to his story and computed it, "I forgive you for your clan's past deeds to my clan but you have never harmed me in any way Vampire-san but what a member of your clan did to my grandfather is unforgivable. I will forgive your clan but not him - despite the fact that I've killed him," she paused and sipped her drink again, "As for the villagers... They fear your kind. Forgive them for their fear Vampire-san."

"But I'm guessing that blood tastes different to you," she then pulled her hair away from her neck and to the one side - leaving a patch of cream skin open. "I wonder how different everyone's blood tastes."

She kept her smirk even as he slid her another drink and made no attempt to cover the patch of skin she purposefully left open, "You and I can move on Vampire-san but hurt the members of Kiri and I will be forced to kill you."

Akane raised a delicate eyebrow at the sight of Mithrodin. She'd heard of the legendary sword many times before and never had she gotten the chance to see the blade. She could feel her own blade, Mitsukai Ken, calling out to her. It hadn't seen a battle for a long time and the bladed was dying to be used, to be-able to cut something with its sharpened edge. Slowly she pulled the sheath from her back and laid Mitsukai Ken near Mithrodin. Her blade wasn't nearly as legendary but it was made from a Mitsukai clan member so it was worth its weight.

She looked directly into the Vampire's eyes and immediately sensed confusion within them - inner turmoil and this just alerted her to the Vampire's beauty. She'd always known they were said to have unearthly beauty but she'd never witnessed it. She blushed slightly at the thought and tried to control her heart's increasing pace.

"Vampire-san it has just occurred to me that you know my name but I don't know yours," she leaned back in her chair, expecting an answer.

"Akane, yes I could have requested a different rout but this was less drastic, and yes I do wish for you to become my companion, as well...I wouldn't go so far as to just yell this out but...it seems...I have...an attraction to you...it seems that I...well never mind that"

Zero saw that she moved her hair on her neck to the side, he let off a soft chuckle and sipped his drink again.

"Looks tempting to bite into Akane but my days of feeding are going away its becoming less frequent now, I still have the need to feed but I do it when needed not when tempted"

Zero chuckled again as he saw she was looking over towards the mithrodin, he noticed a new smell in the air and could hear a beat like a soft drum he could feel it but it wasn't coming from him, Zero looked Akane in the eyes directly, he knew that a Mitsukai were angelic beings but he really never thought of falling in love with one, he could still hear the beat and listened to it, he could hear it coming from her, her heart was beating faster than it was before and she seemed to be blushing slightly, Zero looked away a little keeping his blush hidden fro plain view he looked at her reach and put her blade next to his, he knew her blade on sight, he knew it was the Mitsukai Ken the legendary blade of the Mitsukai Family he was amazed to finnaly be able to gaze upon it he never thought that he could see it with is own eyes.

"Thats...the Mitsukai Ken...I've heard that it was made from a Mitsukai Member..but I never thought...that I would be able to see the blade itself...Its a master piece indeed just like it would be"

Zero was stunned to see that she was able to hold the blade, he knew she wasn't a normal member of the clan, she was...different than any other member he heard about.

"My name is Zero Kiryu of the Kiryu clan belonging to Oni no Kuni the Demon Country and I know you through stories of my clan, the Killer of the Vampire, a very tought opponent you must be, I'm amazed to still see you wern't bitten by him I must say, I'm impressed Akane...you managed to survive everything that was thrown at you by a member of my clan...I knew that a Mitsukai were a very powerful family but yet I never knew you were that powerful to even take out the Mizukage when he almost demolished Sunagakure when you fought my clan member, that story is very large in my clan and people fear your power, me however...I don't fear you...for you see...It comes ever so rarely that I fall in love...and well seems my heart chose you to be that loved one...I'm just saying is all no need to...whats the word...react wrong I'm only expressing my feelings is all"

Zero sat funny looking at her, looking deep into her redish eyes, his crystal purple ones almost glowing from the reflection on the window as the moon was shining he kept looking into her eyes knowing that he did love her but he was still careful to move quick due to the difference in themselves, her being an angel and him a vampire? what kind of love would it be? what would the child be like if they had one together? would it be a new race? or would it be a vampire or an angel? zero was still cautious of anything to happen.

"So...Akane...what really brings you to meet me today, why did you come talk to me knowing I'm a Kiryu family member, why didn't you kill me on sight?...that is my biggest question to you"

Akane listened intently to the white haired vampire and her crimson eyes widened at his revelation, 'An Attraction to me?' she thought with amazement. It was unheard of, a vampire having an attraction to an angel. The Mitsukai clan would banish her, the Kiryu clan would make the vampire before her a disgrace. 'Vampire-san has a lot of courage to admit that,' she decided but remained passive. She'd listen till his speech finished.

She sighed and moved her hair back over her neck, "I see Vampire-san," she sent him a sliver of a smile. He'd passed one test. He'd been able to keep his hunger at bay yet he still needed to feed. The thought sickened her, she didn't know if she could live with a such foul habit. She detested unnecessary killing and blood that needn't be spilled.

She left her thoughts and watched him turn his head away then move Mithrodin closer to her Mitsukai Ken. She glared, the blade hadn't been touched by any other hand beside her. She didn't know how the temperamental blade would react to the vampire. The last vampire it had seen, she'd slayed mercilessly and it might not react well. She was relieved when he didn't attempt to touch it. "Yes, my clan is renowned for these blades given to each clan member," she paused, "But I'm sure you know that not every clan member is able to wield it." She smirked at this.

Akane's eyes widened violently. Zero was his name, his clan feared her power yet he didn't and he... loved her? She nearly stood and released Mitsukai Ken and threatened to slay him. Was he a fool? Did he realize what he'd just told her? Love? After just one meeting and many stories? She felt an attraction to Zero yet it was undiscovered and she wouldn't admit it. He gazed deeply into her crimson eyes and she did the same - finding his eyes help confusion, thinking and uncertainty. Her heart rate kept increasing the longer she stared and she felt 'butterflies' in her stomach. The blush on her just deepened. She hadn't felt this way before and she wanted to explore.

"Zero-san," she stated, "The answer to your question is simple. I have no grudge against you despite what you did to my villagers. I will confess that I was angry that you'd stepped into Kiri but I will dismiss the fact." She paused and sighed, "And if I must be honest, I do feel something for you Zero-san." She knew her words were unclear yet she didn't wish to explain it anymore.

'Would I throw away everything?' she questioned herself and came to a conclusion, "I have a proposition Zero-san," she leaned closer to him. "If you can beat me in a duel I will become your companion and your mate," she shivered at her words, "But if you lose you will leave the village and never return and you will never seek me out again." She would force herself to love him if she needed, if he won, this attraction she felt could grow into... love.

"This deal seems....acceptable...Akane I will take your offer..I win and you travell with me...But being my mate...I didn't say that..you must have a hidden feeling for me...just to randomly put the word Mate into it but yes, I accept your offer"

Zero finished his drink and grabbed Mithrodin and began to walk to the door with her behind him.

"Akane this duel you know will be like none other you do know this right, you do know that this deal has been taken and if all goes well...we...shall be able to be together....if it is your wish then I will take your offer"

Zero walked outside the bar and went into the street and looked back getting into a fighting stance, his right hand on his blade and his left infront of him ready to perform a Ketsukei Bunshin when ready.

"Akane I wont give up as you should know the pride of my clan being the last member I must fight for my honor and my clans power"

Zero established a perfect fighting stance and held it perfectly still ready to combat any fight and perform any jutsu needed to survive.

"Akane you have your deal I win you can become my Mate and my travell partner, If I should Lose I will never call upon you again and I shall never return to this village, those are the conditions and I accept to them...now...get ready"

Zero Vanished into this air, using the Kage Ashinami Zero appeared directly behind Akane and breathed on her neck and did it again to move back to his original position.

"Akane, I no longer feed from blood My main is from tree's and grass, I fee off the chakra that a tree or the grass produces Blood is no longer needed in my diet so don't think me a creature untill you have lived my life.

Zero drew his blade and spun it around into the second sheathing area on the back on his hip, sliding his feet into the position he awaited her move to view and counter it possibly if he could, he knew she would have some hidden power somewhere but he didn't know where it was or what power it was.

Zero's gaze was directly at her eye's he knew something could happen and was going to happen very, very soon but yet he kept his focus on her eyes for any sign of movement.

"Alright Akane enough games...lets get this started"

Zero slid his foot back and began to focus chakra onto his hand.

Kuso Akane thought when Zero mentioned hidden feelings. Did he not wish for her to be his mate? Isn't that what vampire's did when they loved someone? She'd admit that she knew not much of the vampire race and their culture. Akane gulped her drink and then shivered as it burned her throat. She wasn't used to alcoholic drinks.

She grasped Mitsukai Ken and felt it's anticipation at the mere thought of battle. She was excited too, she hadn't had a decent fight in a year now. She could feel her heart rate increase as they stepped into the crisp night air. This battle would be unforgettable, "I made a deal Zero-san and I won't go back on my word. I will become your companion if you win."

She watched as he changed his stance and she sighed. With a quick movement she placed Mitsukai Ken on her hip to make it easier to access. She hoped not to use the blade and win this battle using taijutsu or ninjutsu. She hoped she wouldn't have to show him her wings and she wished not to use Raitei Sumiyaka no Jutsu. "I understand Zero-san, I will fight you honorably as the last member of your clan."

She froze slightly when Zero appeared behind her and gently breathed on her neck. Her breath hitched and she only released it once he vanished again. She'd have to look out for that technique - it could be potentially dangerous. She frowned at his stance and panic rose within her. Her killer state wasn't far off, begging her to allow it to handle the battle. She refused it as in that mode she'd stop at nothing to kill Zero and there would be no mercy. This was not a battle to the death.

"As you wish Zero-san," she replied but made no effort to move. Erekutorikku Kiwa she whispered to herself and felt as the electricity began flowing through her veins and then creating an electrical current within her body that would be released whenever she touched Zero.

The fight was on

Zero felt a strange electric current envelope around Akane he was cautious of her now he knew something was up, Zero drew out his blade and made a cut along his hand and used his clan jutsu the Tajuu Ketsueki Bunshin to create several hundred copies of himself all able to talk and fight.

"Which one Akane, where am I, which one am I Akane chan"

Zero let out a small laugh as all the clones laughed with him in perfection, Zero had the clone all charge one by one at Akane hopping to draw her out and exhaust her quickly to end the fight with no real harm done to anyone.

"Come on Akane Give ME ALL YOU GOT!!"

Zero started to charge himself at her and used the Kage Ashinami again to make several clones appear next to her all swinging their swords down.

"Take THIS!!"

Zero stepped away from the fray to make a distraction to give him enough time to charge for one of his biggest moves, he required just a few more seconds to pull it off and end this quickly.

"Just a little more and its done.."

Zero was focusing hard on getting this jutsu correct.

((Sorry if its short its always good to have a small fight post makes a fight more enjoyable when it takes less time to write out I say))

Kuso Akane thought as she punched another clone and it disappeared. With her Erekutorikku Kiwa she was able to take out three at a time yet they kept coming and she had no idea where the original was. I'm going to have to she decided and quickly destroyed a clone before leaping into the air and immediately telling her wings to sprout.

They did instantaneously and she floated above the clones who peered at her curiously. She could sense confusion coming from all of them and Zero wouldn't have anticipated this. She used this to her advantage and spoke, "Hisen Umou." Thousands of feathers from her wings began to fly off her wings and then became razor sharp daggers. She pointed her finger at the mass of bunshins.

The feathers rained down unmercifully on the clones and they disappeared in great poofs of smoke. She smirked, this couldn't be all he had. She pulled her wings back and then floated down to the earth. Only one Zero was left, "Don't tell me that was all you had?"

"You got nothing"

Zero laughed as the feathers destroyed all the clones, Zero had gathered enough to do one of the biggest explosions that is possible.

"Tajuu Ketsueki Bunshin!!"

Zero summoned another hundred clones and pushed one more jutsu.

"Masu Tajuu Ketsueki Bakuha MASS MULTIPLE BLOOD CLONE EXPLOSION!!!"

Zero detonated every single one of the clones inside the city, this could have well and truly destroyed the city area if it wasn't asmany clones as he could have pulled off, he didn't want to kill her or destroy the city, he let the clones explode and make a nice hole in the floor.

"NOW ITS ON!"

Zero drew his sword and charged using his Kage Ashinami to jump left, right, left, right just to confuse her of where he was going to come from, zero was closing in and ready to do his next jutsu but he needed to make sure she could move first.

Akane began to feel the burning but she acted quickly, "Umou Yoroi (Feather Armor)" and instantly a thick layer of her feathers hardened around her skin, taking the brunt of Zero's clone explosion. Once the smoke had cleared Akane could see that the feathers were still holding fast and there were a few tiny patches where she'd been burnt but that was only because the feathers hadn't been able to cover her quick enough.

"Mitsukai Chisoku (Angel Speed)" she whispered before searching for Zero. She saw him briefly as he seemed 'jump' from side to side and this confused her to which direction he would come from. She recognized this technique as the same one he'd used before. She frowned as she tried to closely watch his movement and detect the technique but it was so dark she couldn't see.

Then she realized, "Mitsukai Hikari! (Angel Light)" she shouted and a ball of 'light' formed in her hand before she threw it upward and it exploded into the air, bathing everything in the brilliant white light. There was no more darkness, "Now see if you can use your technique Zero-san!" she shouted and touched Mitsukai Ken's hilt - it was screaming to be released.

Zero was about to jump into the next shadow when the light went up, his reflexes made him jump back and slide to a stop.

"Dragons Roar!!"

Zero Through off one of his first A rank jutsu he knew this would do some serious damage to her if it hit her directally she he aimed it to the side, he didn't want to kill her.

"Abolishing Flames!!"

Zero through off his next A rank jutsu the Abolishing Flames a highly dangerous fire jutsu that has a wide AOE (Area Of Effect) of 7 foot long and wide.

Zero was not even giving his all yet he was about to start to unleash everything he had at her, he wanted her to know that being the last member that he had his pride and honour to keep and hold he wasnt going to give up to her or anyone else for that matter.

"This time you lose Akane!!"

Zero was aiming to win this here and now he aimed to her side so that jis next jutsu would only skip past it leaving a cut or a very small gash.

"Chidori Eisou Thousand Birds Sharp Spear!!"

This was Zero's third and one of his most deadly jutsu he has in his arsenal of A rank's

Akane was able to dodge Zero's dragon's roar thanks to her speed technique but unfortunately, some of her hair wasn't as lucky. She growled and then slid across the ground and in one lightning-fast movement she tied her loose locks into a pony - it was time to get serious. Her eyes were beginning to darken and she could feel her 'killer state' bugging her.

Zero cried out another jutsu and she easy able to see it approaching. She knew this would be a trick of some sort so she checked her feather armor, pleased to find that it was still strong. She'd be-able to go through the flame with her armor and be only slightly burned.

The flame engulfed her and she could hear a crackling sound in the air and she identified it as an electrical jutsu, a strong one at that and she grabbed Mitsukai Ken, "Erekutorikku Mitsukai Ken" the blade seemed to roar as the electrical chakra filled it. She then, using her speed, was able to block the lightning spear Zero held in his hands. The two electrical currents hissed as they touched - they were fighting for dominance.

Akane pushed down harder with her sword and Zero's spear broke, Mitsukai Ken was able to slice a gash in the Vampire's arm before he pulled away. She smirked, knowing he would be unable to use his arm.

"It hasn't even started," she spoke, her eyes continiously darkening.

Spoiler:

Zero thought fast he managed to get off even a simple jutsu before the balde struck his arm.

"Kawarimno no jutsu"

Zero replaced himself with a log and left an explosive tag on it.

"Explosion Tag: Activate"

Zero detonated the explosive tag right infront of Akane's face he had no other choice he needed to keep his arm to fight and the only way was to Kawarimno and place an explosive tag to slow her down even just a little tiny bit, he needed to jump back as far as he could.

"Advanced Body Flicker Technique"

Zero jumped 20 feet from where he was and popped off a very weak jutsu to blind Akane.

"Houka senkou Fire Flash"

He knew that she would be able to resist most of the flash of light but he needed a distraction, Zero drew the Mithrodin and spun around with it drawn from its case, he was facing towards her direction and pulled off his frist C rank jutsu.

"Fire Style, Mystical Fire Phoenix"

Zero used a set of shuriken encased in the fire hopping to see that she wouldn't notice them there and use her wings to block the fire and have the shiriken stuck slowing her down.

Akane was not amused when her blade hit a log and neither was Mitsukai Ken, especially when the log exploded before her face. She was able to avoid the explosion thanks to her added speed but a piece of debris nicked her in the face, causing a small stream of blood. She groaned and wiped the blood away.

The fire flash he used could only make her blink. As a member of the Mitsukai Clan she was able to gaze into extreme light. She could hear Zero unsheathing his sword behind her and she spun around, only to be faced with incoming fire balls. Her eyes widened but she quickly formed a plan. She knew he thought she'd be surprised but she re-checked her feather armor and allowed the flame to hit her, finding that the shruikens inside bounced off her hardened skin.

She now knew Zero's position and she used her speed to bring him into a range of 8m from herself and then she pointed her finger at him, "Kaji Bakuha!" He wouldn't be-able to substitute himself out of this one.

All Zero heard was the words Kaji Bakuha come from Akane as she pointed at him and he knew he was in trouble he wasn't able to substitute out but yet he still had one thing to save him from the Kaji Bakuha.

"Denkou Oni Kisaki!"

Zero created a sheild around his body stopping the fire from penetrating through him he felt like this would have been the end if he didn't have this jutsu under his belt, Zero panted as he knew that she was going to be tougher than he expected but he swore that being the last member of his clan he wouldn't fail or fall to any ninja great or small.

Zero's only option left after blocking this was to make a large cloud of fire and explosion using the Burning ash accumulation jutsu, he knew that the smoke would atleast possilby slow her or make her need to fly out of it atleast, Zero set the ash alite and made Akane move otherwise be open for a very nasty and possibly fatal move next if she didn't or even if she did.

"Akane I will not lose to you!!"

Akane coughed as the ash invaded her lungs and she leaped backwards and hurriedly opened her wings so that she flew high into the air and away from the burning ash. Her red-tipped wings fluttered gently as she ascended higher, she was at the disadvantage because she didn't know where Zero was. But he couldn't possibly hit her when she was this high up.

She sighed in disdain when she realized that her ball of light was fading and soon Zero would be able to use his shadow technique. She couldn't allow that to happen. Mitsukai Ken was moving in the sheath and she hissed at it. It calmed down but she knew it wanted to cut the vampire badly.

A faint rumbling echoed in her ear and she momentarily turned her head to the sky and saw that a storm was building. She frowned and landed back on the land, preparing herself for Zero - wherever he was.

Zero took his chance to do his finall and one of the most deadly Jutsu that is around the forbidden technique the Ura Renge - Reverse Lotus.

Zero used the Kage Odori Shadow Dance to appear next to Akane Dealing very powerful physical blows to her, Zero used the Ur Renge and opened the gate kicking her into the air, If Akane had a better time to try and fight back now wasn't possilbe, Zero opened 5 gates, 1 the Initial Gate, 2 the Heal Gate and 3 the Life Gate, 4 the Harm Gat and 5 the Limit Gate, Zero's speed and power was insane now the ammount of pressure on his body was destroying his muscles they were begining to snap.

"Reverse Lotus!!"

Zero was putting so much pressure on his body at the current time that his body was being torn appart.

Akane was able to block all of Zero's taijutsu blows but they were pretty much even. 'You're going to fall right into my trap Zero-san,' she thought yet she wasn't expecting him to use Ura Renge. She knew about the forbidden technique and that it could kill her and she panicked as she was thrown into the air.

She had to do something.

And something was exactly what she was going to do. It would require precise timing but she was confident. She waited as Zero slammed his palm on her abdomen and she was rapidly sent to the ground. She cringed in pain as she felt some of her ribs crack in places but that was okay she'd survive.

She was nearly at the ground and she called, "Umou Tatsumaki!" a whirlwind of feathers began to form on the ground below and she landed straight into it, and it cushioned her fall so that she didn't even touch the ground. The only injuries she had were the ones caused by the feathers. "Raitei Sumiyaka!" instantly a yellow glow formed around her and she glared at Zero before bolting toward him at an unimaginable speed so fast that she seemed like a flash of lightning.

She flew into the sky without the help of her wings and rapidly approached Zero at a speed he wouldn't ever be-able to see. "Erekutorikku Kiwa," she muttered and she created an electrical current that would be released as soon as she touched Zero.

She reached him and with one powerful, stunning kick she sent him spiraling downward at an unbelievable rate, "Kaji Ryuu!" she exclaimed and a gigantic dragon composed from fire was sent after Zero.

Nothing would save him now.

Zero could feel he was going to die at this point he closed his eyes and opened them activating his kekkei Gekkei, there was a wall coming up right behind him he had to time it right to get it perfect, the fire was at his feet he hit the wall and passed through its shadow with another shadow technique but a new one that she hadn't seen yet.

This could have been Zero's finial seconds of living if not for his clans shadow techniques.

"Kage Senshi..." zero whispered as he passed throught the wall using her shadow to pop up behind her going to stab her through the spine, At this point Zero could have killed Akane but her instead of stabbing her he cut along her side before uttering another new jutsu quietly.

"Kage Shoushitsu" Zero sunk into her shadow before she could turn around, Zero knew that from the attacks he'd just suffered. and the ammount of strain on his muscles he knew he wouldm't last ;png anymore.

"Akane It looks like...you best finish me here and now...my muscles are torn...and....I....can barely stand"

Zero's entire body was shaking and he needed Severe medical attention to treat his injuries but yet he knew that if he lost he would lose her and lose rpide in his family, he gathered up the last remaining strength he had and he drew his blade, he charged on lst time at her using a combination of jutsu even making his clones use the Kage Ashinami to confuse her.

"Tajuu Ketsueki Bunshin..."

Zero mumbled as he approached her closer and closer.

"Kage Ashinami.."

Zero had only this left in him his muscles were crying in pain and his body was bruised, battered and broken in many places.

Zero swung his sword down above her head as he reached her.

Akane was shocked to see Zero still standing and she was even more shocked to sense that he had barely any strength left in him. She couldn't see how he was still standing, let alone breathing. Yet he still managed to back up against a wall and charge toward her.

The multiple clones he used confused her and she couldn't find the real Zero until he was at her back. He didn't stab her, instead he used another jutsu. She was highly confused and remade her feather armor for the worst case scenario.

It was then that she barely saved herself by blocking Mithrodin with her bare arms when Zero brought the sword down on her. Her feather armor was the only thing saving her arms from being sliced at that moment and she struggled with all her willpower and strength but she felt the feathers cracking. She wouldn't last much longer in this state.

Zero was on his final legs and his injuries were just getting worse, he could hear the feathers cracking and stopped pushing down, he dropped his sword by his side and placed his hands on the wings gently.

Zero had turned off his kekkei gekkei as he had barely any power left in his body, he was weak and broken, he has multiple fractured bones and torn muscles and yet he still fights, just to be by her side even if these moments could kill him, they where worth it to him.

"A.......kane..."

Zero's words were weak and soft his tone was very frail and broken.

"I..l...l...love..you akane....."

Zero began to slightly buckle under the damage on his body, he has barely anytime to stand if he is going to kiss her or hug her, now is his best chance.

Akane could feel Zero's strength waning as the pressure on her arms dulled. Then he dropped Mithrodin, just in time as the feathers where Zero's sword had been completely cracked. She could easily see he would die if he didn't get immediate medical attention. It had never been her intention to kill him and thus, she allowed him to touch her so freely.

When Zero's weak, mumbled words reached her ears, her eyes widened and she caught Zero was he fell unconscious. He embraced him tightly, careful not to injure him any more than he was. "I'm sorry," she whispered and kissed his forehead, "I'll take you you to the hospital straight away."

It certainly helped to have Raitei Sumiyaka in times like this.

"A....kane....."

Zero whispered as he drew his face back, he pressed his lips softly against hers in a softened kiss, his lips against hers, she had the softest lips he had ever felt, her lips were like clouds to say, so calm and soft.

"I.....guess.....you...win and....I...will take my....leave"

Zero was using every ounce of strength he had left in him to give her his final words and that one kiss, he never intended to hurt her, he just wanted to show he was worthy of having her as his travel partner, he would always travell alone and cold, he had no one to talk to, no one to hold close to him in a time of need, no one to love him when he needed to be loved.

"I....need.....to.....do....this"

Zero softly caressed her cheek and gave her a soft and small passionate kiss, his body went limp as he finished the kiss, his head relaxed and layed against her shoulder, his muscles were torn and some or most of his bones were broken of fractured badly due to the opening of the 5 gates, he never inteneded to hurt her at all he just needed to show he was worthy to her that was all he wanted.
