The Angel and the Vampire (Private, Akane and Kadaj ONLY)

Akane was shocked when Zero kissed her. No, shocked couldn't describe it. There was no word to describe it. She then caught him when he fell and was determined to make sure he'd survive.

"Zero-san," she whispered as she flew through the air. "You were very willing today," she said and paused, "You showed me that you're worthy. Even though you lost, I will travel with you." She didn't know if he could hear but she said it anyway.

She could see the hospital in the distance and sighed in relief.

Zero's eyes slightly opened when he heard her speak.

"Akane....you....won...why are...you going to stay....I...."

Zero fadded out before he could finish, he knew that he lost the fight and yet she still wanted to travel with him, there was something entirely different about her, she wasn't like other people, yes she was an angel and she was his new angel, but she was different others would have killed him while they had the chance to many others would have but she didn't and yet now she is helping him survive, this was something never done by the two clan members ever before.

Zero awoke inside the hospital on a bed with the window open, the night was still young and the curtains were being blown around softly, he realised akane sitting in his room, Zero tried to stand but felt a sharp pain course through his entire body, he could feel that he had some broken ribs and that his muscles were torn.

"Akane....you saved me....why?"

"Zero-san," Akane replied with a small smile, "I'm sure you can guess the meaning as to why I saved you," she said and softly poked his nose with her finger. "I have to go and tell the nurses you've woken up but I'll be back soon," she paused to leave the room, "But just think about what I said m'kay?"

She wouldn't admit it to Zero, she wasn't that person, but she was hoping he'd be-able to figure it out on his own.

Zero was still half destroyed and battered from the fight but yet he smiled at her as she left the room.

'Could...she possibly love me....could it be possible she saved me...because she loves me...i-it might be...'

Zero's heart pounded hard and he felt an excrusiating pain in his chest he began to pant slighty his heart felt like it had been knifed and carved, his eyes largened as it did it again he felt in so much pain, he tried to stand and failed again.

"I...need to get up...this is not acceptable"

Zero gathered all the power he could and stood up and ended up hitting the wall and relaxing against it he was panting again and his eyes were ones of someone in extreme pain.

"I..shouldn't have opened the gates"

Zero could feel his torn muscles crying in pain and his broken bones screaming.

"Akane-sama," the nurse beside her stated, "Mizukage-sama has requested that the vampire be moved from Kiri as soon as he has healed," she said softly. Akane frowned and nodded, "Once the medics get working on him he'll be gone sooner," she replied in an annoyed tone. People these days...

They reached Zero's room and Akane's frown deepened as she heard movement from within the room. She kicked open the door, only to see Zero up and panting, his eyes lolling back and forth from obvious pain.

The nurse raced to him - he'd need immediate surgery

'Zero-baka,' Akane thought as she sighed... What possessed him to do this now?

Zero's pain kept getting worse and worse he did need surgery immediately but yet he stood up against the wall his eyes almost midnight black from the pain he was panting.

"Akane.....If...I don't leave....I will die....They will hunt for me.."

Zero was panting as he could feel his bones pressurising, Zero collapsed to the side and onto the floor his put his arm out and supported himself, his veins showing from when he used the 5 gates.

"I....need to get away..."

Zero fainted on the floor as his hand began to twitch it scrapped along the ground, it began to clench and then went slack, Zero needed his surgery badly otherwise he was going to end up permanently paralisyed or even worse, he could end up dead.

"I...will not let them...harm you...or anyone..."

Zero's tone was weak and colder

Akane ran to Zero's fallen side and placed his head in her lap, "Who's going to get you?" she demanded. "Who's going to hunt you? I swear I'll kill them," she replied. "But you have to get the surgery now!" she ordered and looked at the nurse, "Get the doctors ready."

"Don't worry Zero, I won't let anyone harm me or anyone else," she said to him as the nurse pulled a stretcher into the room. "But right now you need surgery," she personally helped the nurse load him onto the stretcher.

"The...a...a..akatsuki....and...the Immortals....."

Zero was placed on the stretcher and grabbed her hand.

"I....I.....I'm sorry....Akane"

Zero's heart pounded again as he let go of her hand and began to black out on the stretcher.

"F....forgive me....Akan...e...."

Zero began pass out on the strecher after finishing his last words, he needed immediate attention for his wounds for they were enough to kill a normal person instantly and lucky he isnt human.

Zero breathing was hard and heavy, his body broken, battered and damaged badly, there was nothing much he could do but hang on to his life due to the fact he wanted to see Akane again. Zero tried hard to stay awake but yet he passed out shortly after getting into the emergency room.

"Akatsuki," she mumbled, recognizing the name, "Immortals," she repeated, but this time she didn't know who they were. She clasped his hand and wistfully let it go as he was carried off into the ER.

She sighed and flopped onto his bed. He shouldn't have pushed himself. She felt bad for making him push himself to such extremes. But she shook her head and tried to focus on his words about the Akatsuki and Immortals.

She knew about the Akatsuki, she'd even considered joining them before deciding to become a Wandered but she'd never heard of the Immortals. She frowned and then flew to the Kiri library. They were bound to have some information.

The Surgery began and was under way, the doctors were fixing multiple broken ribs, shattered bones and torn muscles, they had no idea how one person could survive such a brutal continuation of the fight, they had no idea that he wasn't very much human but they knew that any normal human could or rather should be dead by this time.

Zero was lucky to have had the surgery and had his bones repaired but yet his muscles were still very weak and still very frial. Zero awoke hours, hours later and tried to move his arm and managed to grab his sword from next to him, he was going to stand up or fall down.

"Akatsuki...Immortals...You wont win"

Zero was determined to get them for what they did to him and his family, determined to get all Akatsuki members and make them pay for what they have done, Zero was coming out of his surgery and was placed on the bed again, he was bruised, battered and still damaged but he would heal if he was careful.

“Akane….where are you….?”

Akane had thrown various book all over the library floor and she added a new one to the pile every few minutes or so. She found lots of information on the Akatsuki but there was nothing on the Immortals, absolutely nothing. She groaned in frustration as she threw yet another book on the floor.

Couldn't they have at least something on these Immortals? Something? Anything? They must have been a relatively new group in that case. She placed her hands on her temple and sighed in irritation.

She glanced outside and she realized that she'd been at the library for quite some time now. Zero must have finished his surgery by now. She then left the books and went to the window and opened it before leaping out and flying above Kiri to the hospital. She was going to have to ask Zero more about these immortals.

It wasn't a far flight to the hospital and she knew where Zero's room was. She decided she was just going to fly in instead of going through the front door. She hoped she wouldn't be disturbing anything as she landed but she was pleased to find just Zero sitting in bed, obviously waiting for her.

She smiled at him before sitting next to his bed and taking his frozen hand, "Sorry about that. I had to go out quickly," she said, "But how are you feeling?"

"I could be better...but I should be alright now"

Zero needed to be careful, Zero stood up and walked behind her and slid his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear.

"Akane....thank you for saving my life...and what about our bet?..are you really going to stay and be with me?"

Zero asked in a soft tone, he didn't like to pry at anything but he just wanted to know, was she going to stay?, was she going to leave?, or would she say yes to his next question?.

"Akane....I must ask you a question...I'm not sure about it but well..."

Zero paused and waited.

Heavey foot steps are heard clunking along the marble floors along with a loud scraping noise as something mettalic is dragged, nurses and doctors staring; awstruck at the site of the new person that had just walked in. A black haired male with white highlights strides through the hospital as if he didn't care who ran it, a flowing black cloak trailed behind him as he turned five corners, two rights, a lef,t another right, then a sharp left. A tightly wrapped bandage covering the right eye for the most specific reasons, but the most odd thing about this man where a pair of detailed black angelic wings streaming from his back, each feather having a solid white tip. Stopping in the middle of the doorway to look inside, a pair of crimson eyes looked in as two people sat next to each other.


A series of slight knocks where heard before the man spoke. "Well well well what do we have here?" Says a very deep voice, which seemed to bounce off of each wall and direct back to the two infront of him.

A small nurse comes scuttling up behind the Angelic winged man, shaking as if she had Parkinsons Disease. Tapping him on the shoulder at first then speaking in a high pitched squeal, "Ex-ex-excuse mmmme sir, but Im afraid you can't be in here at the mmmoment". The man turned around pulling his cloak back at his side, thus revaling a very long blade masked in an even longer sheath. He slightly pulled it out of the sheath, a bright red glow started to emit from the inside of the sheath. The nurse quickly ran away, at times tripping over her own feet. The man turned his gaze back to the two in the room.

"Im terribly sorry where are my manners, Im Saruno Kazura." He says while taking a slight bow, not keeping his eyes off of the two. "Pleasure" He says as he leans against the wall crossing his legs near the bottom of the door way.

"So explain to me what happened to him" He says referrring to both of them as they obviously where trying to have an Intimate conversation . . .

Akane closed her eyes as Zero's hands slipped around her small waist, "You shouldn't be walking around Zero," she said in a mumbled tone. He really shouldn't be standing but she didn't want him to leave her either. She listened to what he had to say and then breathed deeply, "Our agreement wasn't to kill each other Zero and I will..." she paused before biting her lip.

She was conflicted. She'd been traveling alone for the past five years and she'd enjoyed the solitude and the ability to do whatever she pleased but she knew she cared about Zero, she cared a lot, and she wouldn't mind traveling with him. Being away from him was strange, it was like something was missing when he wasn't near. "I will travel with you Zero," she said in a hushed whisper.

"And ask your question Zero," she prompted, waiting for him.

Yet before she could answer a voice interrupted them. She quickly released herself from Zero's grip and stood up, looking around the room only to be greeted by a stranger leaning against the wall, his legs crossed. A bandage covered his right eye and his black hair caught the fading sunlight, making it shine. She also didn't fail to notice the pure black wings coming from his back. Her hand moved to the hilt of Mitsukai Ken and she glared slightly.

He introduced himself as Saruno Kazura and Akane relaxed her pose somewhat, "Akane Mitsukai," she replied and then listened to his next question. She sighed and warily answered, "We had a bet and a duel was involved."

She then removed her hand from her blade's hilt, "What is it to you Saruno-san?"

She waited for his answer.

Zero whispered in her ear softly so that Saruno could not hear.

"Akane...be my lover...be with me..."

Zero said softly to her, he spoke up to the new man.

"I am Zero Kiryu Wanderer ninja from Oni no Kuni...Saruno...what is your reason behind being here today?"

Zero promped out his question, he had no idea of this Saruno Kazura but he intended to find out. Zero winked at akane and kissed her cheek softly whispering.

"Be my lover...and I will be with you always...akane"

Zero smiled and looked over at the new man.

"So you came here today for some reason I imagine, and what would it be Saruno Kazura?"

Zero wasn't quick to trust him, he could smell a very large power flowing through saruno.

Akane's eyes widened at Zero's comment. She was speechless, unable to think of a response as Saruno just watched them. She felt as if she was standing on a stage and someone was pointing a spotlight on her. Zero then spoke to Saruno and she felt relieved that everyone's attention was no longer on her.

She then closed her eyes blissfully when he kissed her cheek and asked his question again. He was probably trying to show Saruno that she was taken, and that he wasn't allowed to touch her. 'Possessive,' she thought and she quickly glanced at Saruno. He watched them passively. He was interesting and Akane felt a slight fascination building.

She gulped and then whispered back to Zero, "I promise I will give you my answer Zero," she said, "But let's just find out what he wants first." She wanted to say yes to him, she really did and she hoped he would be-able to see that she wanted to say yes. But Saruno's wings interested her greatly. She hadn't heard of another Angelic clan.

There was another reason she couldn't say yes to Zero at this moment... There was one thing she wasn't able to do for him and she was scared that once he knew he wouldn't want her anymore.

Zero saw Saruno's wings and was given a hint. 'Another angel...hmmm very interesting indeed...he maybe be...wait he's a Kazura, I have heard of them...a few tales nothing more but a few...he's an angel like Akane...hmmmm'

Zero had to be careful, he heard akane whisper and he picked up a scent of slight sadness in he feeling after she spoke, he whispered back.

"Akane...whats the matter...you can tell me alright, I wont be bothered about anything you need to say, its alright, you can tell me Akane"

He relaxed his head against hers, he loved her very, very deeply and knew that she loved him aswell, his first thoughts at her feeling were ones of that she wasn't ready to love yet, but then he picked up it differently, seeming to be a different type of scent, it was one of disappointment almost, he could tell she was sad about something but he didnt know what it was, he wasn't fussed if it was bad, he loved her and thats what counts to him and he hopes it counts to her too.

Saruno closed his eye lid as he listened to Akane greet herself, but as he looked at her, he studied her details carfefully. She as well as him had angelic wings that seemed to have been from birth, not acquired through some other process. "Hmm interesting, I have no data on her. This is not right at all . . ." Saruno pulled a chair up from by the window and sat in a triangular stance away from Akana and Zero, he being the point.

"Well I've become, like you two, a Wander Ninja, me being from Konohagakure no sato." Saruno says while letting his wings flourish, then sinking slowly to the ground. "I like both of you, have specific talents Mine portraying me as the type of person that has no care for anyone except myself. This is a title that was forced upon me and I have lived by it" Cyrus says looking from each of them, no emotion being revealed whatsoever.

"Cut to the chase. . . . Your lossing them" Saruno thought as he summed up his next words carefully and precice.

"Well be fore I get to deep let me ask you two a quesion. . ." Saruno says pausing for a more dramatic affect than what was needed. "How much do you know about this new group of ninja known as the 'Immortals'?" Saruno says questioning there mental capabilities. He sat with his right foot placed on the knee of his left leg and his arms crossed.

"Just trust me when I say I'll tell you later," she whispered to him before turning her attention to Saruno.

Akane could sense his intrigue at her red-tipped wings and she narrowed her eyes. She knew he was confused by this fact because there had been no records of two Angelic clans in their clan's record books. The Mitsukai Clan's books were filled with mentions of clans such as Hyuuga and Uchiha but never Kazura. She made no indication to move when he pulled up and chair and sat before them.

She listened to his story with full attention and even watched as he lowered his blackened wings to the ground. He gave some partial background information and Akane's expression softened slightly. He too had been given a harsh and cruel fate. He like she and Zero, had been forced to accept their destiny.

"The Immortals?" Akane repeated softly before her eyes widened slightly. They were the same group she'd been trying to find information on earlier today. They were the group that Zero said would hunt for him and now this stranger was too looking for them. "I'm afraid I can't help you Saruno-san," she said in an apologetic voice but she then turned her attention to Zero, "But he can."

They both waited for him to answer.

Zero looked down as he knew some of what the immortals where.

"To me...they are pure evil incarnate, they are monsters...who need to be dealt with...I do not wish to go any further with that for the rest is very personal"

Zero didn't speak much as it was a private matter that had to be done, Zero hated being some what of a vampire he ism he never like it much, the speed and the power were great but, the need to feed made him feel sick every time he thought of it.

Zero wasnt one to feed off of a human now he really hated the smell of blood it was to crimson and nasty looking, his times were gone and yet he still fed but not from humans, only animals.

"Saruno...what do you know of them..."

Zero wasn't one much for talking after knowing some small detail about them but he wouldn't speak it without knowing the person first.

"So your a Wanderer like us...It would be better possibly to stick together...what do you say Akane, let him come with us or let him wander?"

Zero was being polite and kind as he always was.

Akane looked at Zero with worried eyes when he mentioned a personal experience. She knew so little about him, yet he seemed to know a lot about her. She'd make an effort to find out more about Zero and his past. He seemed like he was in pain when he spoke of his meeting with the Immortals.

"And he may travel with us, if that is what you wish Saruno-san," she replied to Zero, smiling weakly and warily at Saruno.

Saruno closed his eyes as he listened to Zero speak of the immortals, it seems he like Saruno, had an encounter with them. In Saruno's particular incident he had been ambushed, but this was something that he liked best kept secret. Saruno broke out in a pace around the room when Zero asked what he knew, the feathers on his back gleaming abit as the sun through the window shone on them. His head streaming with personal thought and records as he prepared sum some of the information he had on them.

"Well Zero you pretty much summed it up, but I know of there leader." Saruno spoke as he finnaly sits down placing his head in his hands.

Saruno turned his attention out the window, a sparrow flying back to it's nest. As he thought about the leader of the new group known as 'Immortals', this was a man that cared about nothing or anyone he, needed no subordinates just slaves to do his dirty work.

"There leader is a ruthless person. He has a very unique and complex chakra pattern to a point where I don't even think the Nara Clan could decifer. Thats all I have to say" Saurno said as he leans his head on the window pane .

Saruno didn't pay attention to anythin anyone else said, If they even said something, until Zero spoke of him. He turns his attention back to them as Zero asks if he wanted to join them. Saruno wasn't used to working with others,he was more of a lone wolf but with Zero and Akane he felt it was time to begin.

"I believe that would be the most logical thing to do, plus we would be able to possibly plan to take out the Immortals' members." Saruno says with a quick smile, his hair now turning a dirty blonde color right before everyones eyes.

"I accept your proposal, Zero, Akane" He says while holding out his hand in a honorable fashion toward Zero.

"Things seem to be loking up from here. . ."

"At the current time Saruno we are not attacking them, we are peaceful at the moment but once the time strikes and we have our fourth member with us then we shall strike, understand?"

Zero wasn't one to trust as easy as he trusted Akane but he knew that Saruno knew more than he lead on about the Immortals' boss but yet he had no real care at the time for they were at peace with everyone being the wanderers they were.

"Akane, I think I'm ready to walk...Can you help me walk I stil feel a little weak from using the 5 gates..is that okay..."

Zero wasn't in much of a condition to fight anyone at the moment anyway his body was still damaged badly but it wasn't as bad anymore, and atleast he could walk now.

"Saruno, we are peaceful, when the time comes we shall indeed attack them and the Akatsuki...I have my revenge to pick with the Akatsuki"

Zero tried to stand and leaned on the bed, he was having trouble standing by himself after using all 5 gates to fight Akane.

"Saruno...I might need your help aswell can you help me walk..."

Akane felt like both men weren't telling her something and this fact annoyed her. She was the only one in the group who didn't know anything about the Immortals and that really frustrated her. But she'd ask about them later, first they needed to get out of the hospital. They would need a place to stay and it had to be someplace close. She realized in dismay that they could go to her clan compound.

"Of course I'll help you walk Zero," she said as she placed his arm over her shoulder and then placed her arm around his waist to support him. "Just take it easy m'kay?" she said to him while giving him a quick, loving smile. She felt bad for injuring him but she tried not to dwell on it.

"Attack the Akatsuki?" she repeated, "I haven't personally had any bad experiences with the Akatsuki but I've heard rumors of their cruel deeds." This only made her once again realize how little she knew about Zero and this sent a pang of guilt to embrace her heart. She would make an effort to know him inside out.

She waited as Saruno helped her with Zero, "Saruno-san if you'd be willing to help me fly, we can take Zero over to my clan's compound. They'll be willing to keep us for as long as we need." She was lying. Her family would be very hard to persuade to allow them to stay but she had to try. Even though she was banished, she was still family.

As Saruno listens to Zero speak of themselves as peaceful, thought, memories and visions flashed before his eyes as if he was in a time warp, he knew the others wouldn't be able to see what he saw so he tried to keep his facial exspressions the same as he watched his families slaughtering appear from the point of a little kid. He awkakens out of this trance when Zero speaks of war, this would be the turning point, but first that fourth member was still lingering out there somewhere in the world.

"I will have my revenge Night Hyuuga. . . .

Two small, glowing white, marble shaped objects where formed within the inside of Saruno's right hand, as the blank stare formed on his face yet again. This was something that happened occassionally and his teamates needed to be informed about. When Zero asked for his assistance Saruno's slight trance broke and he walked over to his side, his hair now returning back to it's original black color.

"Your going to need to guide me as we fly, Akane" Saruno speaks as he dips his arm under Zero's left arm, his giant black wings now outstretched, a shade of blue-ish black now spred across the detailed wings.
